ADL Messenger is an independent Windows desktop messenger by Asia Design Lab, inspired by classic Messenger. Bring a friend back online with contact lists, personal statuses, separate conversation windows and nudges, alongside file sharing and one-to-one voice and video calls.
Version 0.5.18 RC is free for 64-bit Windows. Choose English, French, Dutch, German, Italian or Spanish. It uses new ADL accounts and its own network; it does not restore old MSN accounts or contacts and is independent of Microsoft.
To try your first conversation, install ADL Messenger on two Windows PCs, create accounts, verify your emails and add each other by ADL ID. Exchange messages, change your status, send a nudge or make a one-to-one call. Existing ADL users can update and keep using their accounts.
The screenshots show earlier builds using demo accounts; details may differ from the current RC release.
